I decided to dub my blog:
"Memoirs of a Cowgirl (In Training)", because although I have ridden horses since I could walk, I'm not neccesarily worthy of the hard-earned title of "cowgirl".
My grandfather, who was raised on a ranch and rode most of his life, taught me the ways of western riding before I could say "howdy!". However, upon moving to Arizona I decided to go the route of the "stretchy-pants" or more properly and commonly known: english riding. Although english jumping is a passion of mine, it has been pushed aside for the time being. My husband and uncle, both avid team-ropers, are attempting to transform me into a cowgirl.
Sadly, they have a great task at hand.
I can't rope.
I refuse to slouch in the saddle.
Cows scare me.
BUT
I can cook like a cowgirl.
I can ride a horse like a cowgirl.
And most importantly for them:
I'm nice enough to cool down their horses for them.
So they are content. For now.
So this is a place to share my adventures, recipes, pictures, decorating tips, and anything else I would like to bore my family and friends with....whenever I get around to posting*
*( If you want exciting adventures, good recipes, gorgeous pictures, unique decorating tips, or anything else wonderful on a regular basis...try looking up The Pioneer Woman. I love her. She's amazing.)
**Memoirs of a Cowgirl began in 2010 as a wedding blog to document and share ideas and memories with family and friends.
Fast Forward 3 years...
After our beautiful wedding, moving to Texas, finishing my Bachelor's degree, and making so many wonderful memories...I remembered the forgotten little blog that missed all of these life-changing events.
